Leathergoods label Yu Mei and knitwear label Standard Issue have released an elegant capsule collection in stores and online this week with a focus on cashmere. The two brands share a commitment to circularity and uncompromising quality, and their luxurious new collaboration is a perfect reflection of the modern designs and quality of their brands.

The limited edition collection was originally debuted at Yu Mei’s AW21 Digital Runway Presentation earlier in the year and features vests, crew neck sweaters and oversized scarves crafted from soft cashmere. The pieces have been designed to complement Yu Mei’s latest range and offer understated luxury and utilitarian simplicity which the brand is known for.

Each piece was crafted from the finest cashmere down which is grown in Mongolia and spun by the Carriagi family based in the beautiful small town of Smirra, Italy. The talented technicians and craftspeople in Standard Issue’s Auckland workroom then hand-finished every item with meticulous care. Cleverly, each design in knitted in the round to render them without seams, meaning their is zero waste involved in the production. A neutral colour palette of cream, grey and black adds to the versatility and long wearing appeal of the range.

The appealing new cashmere capsule collection reflects the brands’ shared vision of timeless design, impeccable detailing and distinct silhouettes, making for pieces that are meant to last for a lifetime.
