Winter Tanning Tips

Summer is gone, but that doesn’t mean your tan has to go with it. Why not welcome winter with a sun kissed glow.

Bondi Sands Co-Founder Blair James shares a few expert tanning-tips for the perfect transpersonal glow!

-Gradual tanning products are great for winter, as they provide greater control by building colour over 2-3 days and keeps skin hydrated.

-If you have ended up with a tan that has gone wrong or is way too dark for the season (unless you are jet setting to the Bahamas) swimming in salty or chlorinated water will help the tan fade away quickly. A hot bath with lemon juice will also aid in fading a tan.

-The number 1 golden rule before any self-tanning product is to exfoliate thoroughly. Especially in winter skin is prone to dryness that will grab self-tan, resulting in those unwanted dark patches.

-A gradual tanner provides greater colour control and enriched with Aloe Vera, Cocoa Butter and Vitamin E will keep skin hydrated and nourished on cold days. Try our new gradual tanning milk – FACE product.

-If worried about how dark a self-tanning lotion for winter skin may be, try mixing moisturiser with the self-tanning lotion to reduce the depth of colour produced and add a bit of care for dry skin.

The range of self tanning products from Bondi Sands is available from Unichem, Life, Amcal, Radius Care and selected pharmacies.
