Win tickets to a New Zealand television first

 

NZFW is pulling out all the stops to give the public a chance to be part of 2011’s week-long experience, with Designer Selection shows throughout the week, followed by a full on Fashion Weekend schedule.

 

Fashion Weekend has it all; catwalk shows, entertainment from New Zealand’s hottest musicians, seminars from industry leaders who will offer tips and tricks for a stylish life and the Sunday Star-Times Designer Garage Sale, the best chance all year to pick up a bargain.

 

NZFW Public Shows

NZFW Designer Selection shows run throughout the week, the first show scheduled for Wednesday evening. These are the public’s chance to come along and be part of NZFW, with front row tickets available, offering fashion lovers a chance to get amongst the action.

 

This year, buying tickets to any Designer Selection show will see some lucky fashionistas sitting front row for 2011’s biggest fashion event, with everyone who purchases 10 tickets going in the draw to win one of five lots of 10 front row tickets to Friday night’s WORLD show.

 

After enjoying complimentary Moët & Chandon, the lucky winners will take their place at the always fabulous WORLD show. Here they will be part of a New Zealand television first, as the final contestants of New Zealand’s Next Top Model take to the catwalk in a life changing walk off, to find out who will win in the LIVE television final.

 

Alongside Friday’s Designer Selection shows is the new Sunday Star-Times Shoe of the Week  show, featuring some of the fanciest footwear from talent throughout the country.

Saturday’s fashion schedule features; the New Zealand Weddings Magazine Bridal show profiling some of New Zealand’s top wedding designers, the Racedays at Ellerslie Show, launching Ellerslie’s summer of Fashion and the Walk the Line show, which supports emerging talent through a group show on New Zealand’s biggest stage.

 

MUSIC MUSIC MUSIC

NZFW is not just about the clothes on the catwalk, it’s the place for New Zealand’s fashionable crowd to see and be seen.

 

This year an amazing line up of talented bands, musicians and DJ’s, headlined by New Zealand's Best Male Artist Dane Rumble, will see the glamorous venue transformed into the hottest venue in town across the first weekend of September.

 

The entertainment in the Absolut Studio kicks off on Friday 2 September with People of Paris mixing up an eclectic array of party tunes. Steve Dunstan and Marc Moore are two of New Zealand’s fashion heavyweights and they are sure to draw an excited party crowd.

 

Saturday brings another talented line up to the Absolut Studio, with Dane Rumble taking to the stage at 5.00pm. He joins  more fantastic  bands and DJ’s eager to entertain the Saturday night crowd.

 

Sunday Star-Times Garage Sale

This year’s Sunday Star-Times Garage Sale will offer sharp eyed shoppers the chance to pick up some amazing bargains. 

 

With designers from across the country, including footwear and jewellery on offer, the hustle and bustle of the Garage Sale is the perfect place to work up a thirst before retiring to one of the many bars, lounges and chill out areas located throughout the amazing new venue.

 

This year’s line up in the Sunday Star-Times Garage Sale includes; Bettie Monroe, BLAK, Chalkboard Agencies Ltd, Chaos & Harmony, Deborah Sweeney, Ingrid Starnes, Kagi, Kathryn Wilson, Lonely Hearts, Sabatini, Salasai , Sarah Riley Shoe Designer, TK Store

 

Also at Fashion Weekend

Get gorgeous false lashes applied at the QVS Lash Bar free, plus a $30 goody bag for the first 250 people through the door on Saturday morning. Magic Tan & Beauty will also be offering mini manicures for $10 at their Nail Bar.
