Celebrated Dutch brand Viktor&Rolf have launched their first designer eyewear collaboration exclusively with Specsavers. The elegant range includes twelve optical and three sunglasses frames for both men and women, and is available at Specsavers stores nationwide now.
The collection is a beautiful mix of Viktor&Rolf’s signature avant garde style but done in a wearable, refined way which makes for brilliant eyewear. It features a gorgeous colour palette of warm burgundy, hyacinth, bright yellow, gold flakes and polished metallic tones. Each frame is made from high quality materials with each frame having a distinctive look with a clear Victor&Rolf feel.
The range has been created around three themes: patchwork story, sculptural story and evening story. Each one is connected to Viktor&Rolf’s design aesthetics and brand values; unexpected elegance, conceptual glamour and provocative couture.
The patchwork pieces include frames with a laboration of inner and outer frame shapes to create the look of two frames cleverly patchworked together. Viktor&Rolf have played around with shape and proportion to design a selection of frames with pinched acetate and metal detailing for the sculptural story which is all about the details. The evening story is a very special one, as it is the designer’s interpretation of the ‘day-to-night’ concept and one can truly transform one’s day-look into an evening-look by clipping on a glamorous Swarovski crystals detail to one’s glasses. Viktor&Rolf have also designed an eyewear case that mimics the shape of the Flowerbomb as well as cleaning cloth that is very reminiscent of the brand’s iconic fragrance.
