Looks from Twenty-seven names Autumn/Winter 2021 collection. Images supplied.
The latest range from beloved Wellington-based brand Twenty-seven names recently arrived in stores and online offering a charming update for the new season. Designed following last year’s nationwide lockdown, the collection is titled ‘It is what it is’ and offers healthy doses of both optimism and pragmatism in the form of beautiful clothing that is practical and very wearable.
This charming new offering features the brand’s signature sweet dresses in fresh florals that are a bit more pared back than last season’s vibrant surrealism prints. That sense of restraint is also reflected in the simple but chic tops, skirts and pants in this range too. Twenty-seven names have mastered creating garments that have a sense of youthfulness juxtaposed with timelessness making their pieces accessible and appealing to women of every age.
Designers Rachel Easting and Anjali Burnett have enjoyed a long love affair with navy which features in this range in tiered dresses and a gorgeous scalloped collar velvet jacket (also available in magenta). Fans of Bridgerton‘s romantic style which is in demand at the moment will love the puffed sleeve dresses and winsome tops in this collection. While 2021 may not be quite what we expect it to be, this range offers a bit of escapism that’s oh so easy to wear too.
