Beloved Wellington brand Twenty-Seven Names released their beautiful new Autumn/Winter 2020 collection recently and it is truly a delight. Designers Rachel Easting and Anjali Burnett have a gift for creating clever collections that are artistic yet timeless. Their latest range called “The Grass Isn’t Always Greener” sees the designers asking their customers to find beauty in their own surroundings and appreciate life in the moment.
“These days it feels like we’re always looking over other people’s fences. Dreaming of what’s still to come, what’s far away, wherever it is we aren’t right now. We’re here for taking a moment to appreciate our current surroundings and recalibrating our efforts into our own pastures. Here’s to finding things hiding in plain sight.”
The collection itself sees the designers continue to play with volume and proportion as seen in key styles like the Be Here Now blouse with its billowing sleeves and oversized neck bow. Also seen in the balloon sleeved Green Room dress which is definitely a statement piece. The range features vivid paisley prints in a rainbow of hues that are complemented by the colour palette of brights which is the perfect way to liven up cold winter days. As always the brand’s signature hue navy features strongly in the range and this season a crisp mint green alludes to the title of this winsome collection.
There’s plenty of charming pieces for work with elegant blazers, tops and pants that are easily integrated into the Twenty-Seven Names’ customer’s existing wardrobe. The brand have always done excellent dresses and this range includes a strong mix of tailored dresses and more voluminous statement pieces alongside the classic relaxed fit dresses. This season sees the brand expand their range to a size 18 in some styles with added notes on accessibility on their website making things easy for every customer to choose the right garment for them.
