Try summer’s best hair trends

Now that summer is finally here, change is in the air and after a long winter of your hair getting battered by the elements and tucked away under hats and hoods, it can be the perfect time to treat those locks to a makeover. Whether it be a new cut or a fresh colour, here are six of summers hottest hair trends for 2020.

Panel highlights
The 90’s called and they want their panel highlights back! I’m sure you’ve noticed already that practically everything from the 90’s has made its way back into fashion and panels of lightened hair are no exception. This look has evolved into something a little more modern, with panels of light hair framing the face or more subtle blends for a balayage kind of look and makes for one of 2020’s biggest hair trends.

Summer Hair Trends 60s hair flip

The 60’s flip
This style that made it big in the 60’s has made it big again this year with celebs sporting this look at different red carpet fashion events. The look consists of a sleeked back front with either a high ponytail or a half-up, half-down voluminous flip of hair with the retro flick at the ends.

Deep side part
The deep side part is one of the most versatile hair trends, with all different lengths and types of hair being able to pull this look off. Simply, part your hair at the side of your head, comb it over and either sleek it down and pull it back into a pony or a low bun or let it flow over the side and add some volume.

Pearls
This is one of the biggest hair trends to have come off the runway this fashion season. Pearl adornments could be seen perched atop twist buns and weaved in to cool girl cornrows. To perfect this look yourself, find some pearl-encrusted hairpins and slide them through your own braids or buns or find a clip with pearls attached for a cute side part clip.

French girl bob
This look is great for those of you with curly hair and even better with a fringe. The French Girl bob is a blunt cut bob that usually sits just under the ears, think short and choppy. It’s a super versatile wet to dry look too, so it tends to be quite low maintenance.

Asymmetrical bobs
The asymmetrical bob is a fab style for anyone with thick hair. It looks great with a blunt and solid baseline to showcase your healthy ends. Try adding a centre part and a wave for a bit of drama or sleek and straight for a bold and edgy looking cut.
