Kiwi Bridal Designer Trish Peng opened a beautiful new flagship store in Ponsonby in March right before the lockdown started and the boutique will be re-opened from today. The store is located on Mackelvie Street and is a luxurious space that accomodates Trish’s growing custom bridal design business.
This is Trish Peng’s first flagship store and part of Trish’s plans for international growth. The designer has based herself between Auckland and Los Angeles for a while now offering brides on both sides of the Pacific Ocean a chance to create stunning customised wedding looks and experience Trish’s original collection garments too. This new store will offer all of her bridal services and is a suitably sublime setting for the customer to fully experience the Trish Peng brand.
The designer curates a limited number of custom dresses a year and has designed looks for high profile celebrity weddings, as a result Trish is only seeing 50 New Zealand brides a year for exclusive custom design. “The demand for bridal couture design in New Zealand has been growing over the past year,” says Trish Peng. “Our weekends have been booking up 2-3 months in advance.”
Brides are able to have one-on-one intimate consultations with Peng at the new flagship store, enabling the customer to get a unique bridal look that is special to them. The huge demand for both Trish’s custom designs and her yearly bridal collections in New Zealand was the motivation behind her Auckland expansion.
As you would expect the experience at Trish Peng’s new store is a luxurious one with a glass of champagne on arrival for brides and their entourage to enjoy while exploring Trish’s winsome bridal looks. The fit-out itself is also stunning with a grand pink door entrance, custom six seater blush lounger, gold racks, and a feminine white, gold, and blush theme throughout. Alongside the beautiful gowns the store also houses a collection of bridal accessories from robes, veils, jewellery, shoes and more.
“It’s important Kiwi women have the opportunity to experience a luxurious wedding offering with complete poise and ease – globally, there are multiple flagship stores like what I’m about to offer… I’m really excited to help Kiwi brides make their special day as special as can be,” adds Peng.
