With the warmer weather comes a host of new and exciting trends to add to our closets.
I?ve compiled a list of the top four trends you should be looking out for this season.
Peplum
This really has been the trend that everyone has been raving about. Although it?s been around for quite a while (with designers showcasing it at their runway shows every season, and stores religiously carrying lots of pieces) peplum has hesitated to truly take off until 2012.
Peplum silhouettes are stylish and unexpected – proving a great trend for those who have a feminine, yet bold sense of style.
Drop Waist Dresses and Tunics
Making a return from seasons gone by, these relaxed cuts come in both casual and dressy styles, providing a gorgeous piece for everyone.
Pair these dresses and tunics with sky-high heels or wedges to elongate your legs and balance out the loose cut.
Cropped Tops
Another style that?s back for another go-around are midsection-baring tops. While not for everyone, these cute tops are perfect for spring?s hotter temperatures. I?ve spotted casual, rock-and-roll type cropped tops, as well as more structures, girly versions – so you really can dress down or dress up (to a certain extent!).
Bird Print
To me, anything that is remotely associated with woodland creatures is a must have. So when I saw bird prints appear in magazines and on runways, I was instantly excited. These prints are a great alternative to the much-anticipated floral print of Spring 2012, adding a slightly quirky edge to your outfit.
Don?t forget to keep the rest of your outfit really simple, in order to keep the focus on the cute birdies!
