Tips to Make your Bras Last Longer

Washing – care tips:

Always follow the care label. For bras that require hand washing, use a cleaning product designed for delicate fabrics. Avoid harsh detergents.

Wash bras in a lingerie bag and do up the clasps so they don't catch.

Don't dry bras in a clothes dryer – this greatly decreases the lifespan of lingerie.

Hang the bras out to dry – drape the bra over a clothes line or a hanger with the line through the middle of the cups – not pegged from one end (this stretches the bra out of shape)

Wearing – care tips:

Rotate, rotate, rotate. Give bras a day to 'rest' to return to their original fit and to prolong elasticity

To put on: Don't fix back clasps from the front and twist the bra around – this will stretch it out of shape. For those who have difficulty clasping at the back, try: Playtex 18 hour Front Fastening Shoulder Comfort Strap – RRP $64.95

With lay-flat front closure and easy to close hooks and eyes, the bonded stretch fabrication provides extraordinary support and moves with you for all day comfort.

Check your measurements annually to ensure the right fit – as your body changes so will your fit.  See the fit guide at: www.playtex.co.nz

For care and comfort after surgery or whilst breastfeeding, wear a wire-free bra. Playtex have a large range of wire-free bras in a style to suit you.
