Customers can enjoy a collaborative pop up shopping experience focusing on New Zealand made products when concept pop up This is nice returns to Ponsonby Central next week. Presented by local fashion labels Alyssa Lloyd and Velvet Heartbeat the pop up is on from 21st March – 3rd April 2022 and features a beautifully designed range of products from women-led creative businesses.
The charming selection of products on offer includes clothing, ceramics, wall-art, accessories, perfume and jewellery. Each of the participating brands has been handpicked based on their shared values of sustainability, conscious design, exacting quality and female empowerment.
Among the brands taking part are Eden Essence who create all natural perfume designed to enrich the soul, Unde who make organic-cotton underwear, and Dorothy Knitwear created by a mother-daughter duo who handcraft unique knitwear. Locally made sustainable fashion label Alyssa Lloyd and design and plant-based leather accessories brand Velvet Heartbeat who are co-hosting the store will also be offering their wares at the pop up.
“It has been a really challenging last six months for many local businesses, and we know these struggles aren’t over just yet,” says designer Chloe Win from Alyssa Lloyd. “But we’re really excited about the prospect of getting a select group of hard working brands together for a celebration of our creations.”
“This is nice is an opportunity for us to introduce customers to some amazing values-driven brands, who are not only ‘doing nice’ in the world of business, but also happen to offer and make really lovely things we think anyone would be happy to have in their home,” says Suzie Eggleton from Velvet Heartbeat.
This is nice also has an online store offering shipping nationwide to support the pop up shop and there is free click-and-collect available for Auckland based customers.
