The personal love story of Sir Michael Hill and Lady Christine Hill is the centrepiece of a new bridal campaign by the iconic New Zealand jewellery house.
The couple’s love story, which spans 50 years (and has long been at the heart of the brand), is bought to life by a heritage-inspired film, exploring the journey of Sir Michael and Lady Christine Hill.
Filmed in New Zealand in original locations relevant to the Hill’s real-life story, the film shares their first meeting in 1964 through to their wedding and the opening of the first Michael Hill store in 1979.
It’s a reminder of the personal story that runs through Michael Hill and is part of a new timeless bridal campaign aimed at celebrating the range of exquisite bridal jewellery available, from engagement rings to wedding bands and wedding day jewellery, crafted to mark the most significant moments in people’s love stories.
Christine Hill’s artistic talent has been part of the Michael Hill story from the beginning, as she lent her unique creative touch to interior design, visual merchandising, and catalogue illustrations. Christine designs exclusive jewellery collections for Michael Hill, taking her inspiration from beautiful organic forms and purposeful objects with deep meaning and transforming them into wearable pieces of art.
