Summer 09/10 Trend: Carnival Brights
Bright, fresh, modern and playful – colours were out in full, luminous, force at Rosemount Australian Fashion Week this year…
Designers were really having fun with colour in their collections and for Summer '09/'10 we can look forward to an influx of carnival-esque brights that POP!
Fluorescent hues are making a comeback – this time more electric and fresh rather than the trashy, disco-crazy brights we have seen in the past – pink, purple and lime stood out and we can expect to see these colours really come into their own for summer. Simple statement brights are great with denims and paired with nude basics – we love on-trend brights as they do all the talking which makes outfit planning oh so simple.
Cobalt blue was a strong trend as was bright orange-red and who did it best? Our very own Kate Sylvester and Zambesi of course!

Red is such a power colour and great for those days when you need a pick-me -up, or a sex-me-up – so a fabulous red piece definitely needs to be on your shopping list for summer.
