Summer 09/10 Trend: All Things Nude
Nude and blush tones – coming to a wardrobe near you…
Yes, carnival brights are hot – but so is the other end of the spectrum – soft and natural nude and blush tones were a standout trend and they came in many different looks. Prints, soft and sheer fabrics, masculine tailoring and drapery were all done in every shade of neutral imaginable.
This is a classic, chic look that follows on from the ballet-inspired looks that came through over the past year, and it's a great trend to follow for spring and summer if you are into buying investment pieces. Yes, it’s going to be trendy this year, but nude and blush-toned garments are great wardrobe staples so any pieces you purchase are going to be wearable and current long after this trend dies down.
