Juliette Hogan founded her eponymous womenswear label in 2004 and the talented designer has grown a loyal following for her elegant, contemporary clothing. Over the years she has added homeware, eyewear, luggage and babywear to the offering from her brand while delivering strong seasonal clothing collections that are as beautiful as they are practical and modern.
We caught up with Juliette to find out more about her brand, what inspires her and what you would never catch her wearing!
Tell us about your latest collection?
The latest collection is called Shadow Play and it explores the relationship between shadow and light and their ability to shield or reveal, how they can define and frame, soften and harden or create confusion or clarity. Texture is the theme that runs through this collection with faux fur, mohair, dappled lace and crushed velvet.
What made you become a designer?
My mother taught me to sew from a young age, however I had every intention to become a chef after I left school. I won the Karen Walker Dare to Be scholarship to Parsons School of Design while completing my Textiles degree and the rest is history.
What inspires you?
Inspiration can come from the smallest things, reflections of dappled light, a corner of a beautiful building, texture. I am loving architecture at the moment, I love how being inside a space creates a feeling within you.

Describe your personal style and how it influences your brand?
My personal style is luxe casual. I design selfishly and my clothing must have purpose and function while still feeling completely luxe to take me through day to evening.
What is your all-time favourite purchase?
The best purchase I’ve made are my Maryam Nassir Zadeh suede loafers, they elevate the most casual of looks.
What wardrobe item should every woman invest in?
That special dress, pant suit or outfit that makes you feel a million dollars - then buy a couple of them.

Do you have a style rule you always obey?
Feel good in what you’re wearing, if you’re not feeling it - change your outfit.
What has been the highlight of your career so far?
I can’t pinpoint a highlight, I get so many throughout my journey as a designer and a business owner.
What can’t you live without?
My cashmere blanket.
Finish this sentence – You would never catch me wearing…
