Tell us about your latest collection?
We are welcoming in the warmer seasons with styles that are breathable, comfortable and elegant, from day to evening wear. Both our Blacklist & Two by Two labels are featuring a lot of natural fibres such as linen and cotton for Summer 2019/20.
Blacklist typically explores the asymmetric folds and tucks while at the same time magnifying the best characteristics of the fabrication in each style. Two by Two is more focused on low key lifestyle glam – offering interesting details in easy fitting shapes. Both collections reflect earth tones such as sky, brick and oatmeal.
This is an exciting launch for us as it includes our first evening wear range from Two by Two. Through this small collection we ventured into a bit of bling and sheen, perfect for cocktail parties and weddings.
What made you become a designer?
It wasn’t so much a decision for me as a culmination of my many interests. I have a very curious mind; I love all sorts of creative activities such as cooking, cinematography, architecture, crime solving… I love a challenge and being hands on in the business is exactly that.
What inspires you?
Nature. The beauty and harmony of shapes and colours are so effortlessly assembled by the universe in a way that is beyond what the human race can replicate.

Describe your personal style and how it influences your designs?
Simplicity and comfort are key to my personal wardrobe – some would call it minimalism (I own less than 30 garments and only 2 pairs of shoes). It certainly influences the way I put together the collection. Less is more.
What is your all-time favourite purchase?
What wardrobe item should everyone invest in?
Disposable underwear – ok this is really un-glam, I know. But once you go disposable, you can’t go back! Being a woman who is travelling 2/3 of the year, this really is an essential item for me. It’s easy to pack, breathable, comfortable and it is washable. Still have doubts? Let your Gyno tell you all the benefits!
Do you have a style rule you always obey?
No. Go nuts.

What has been the highlight of your career so far?
Being able to work and support my team in NZ and offshore.
What can’t you live without?
Finish this sentence – You would never catch me wearing…
