We caught up with Annika to find out more about her brand, what inspires her and what you would never catch her wearing!
Tell us about your latest collection?
Spring/Summer was designed with the women’s figure in mind. I wanted to play with shape, so looked at designs that emphasised the hips, ankles, neck and waist. This collection has helped me to love my figure and my intention was to help others love theirs. Choosing natural fibres to keep the skin feeling fresh and let it breath. It’s a great feeling being comfortable in your skin, something I hope to share with others through design and fabric choices.
What made you become a designer?
It wasn’t an intention to become a designer, my passion is pattern making and sewing. The process of cloth to garment with everything in between excites me. Designing was something I had to pick up along the way and really, I am still finding my comfortable place in it.
What inspires you?
Inspiration comes from all different aspects of my surroundings. History, architecture, nature, art and colour, there is inspiration in everything if you are open to seeing it. Of late my inspiration comes from the 1400’s, I am excited for the coming Autumn/Winter collection.
Describe your personal style and how it influences your designs?
A mixture of new and old. Boutique and op-shopped. I’m always looking for the perfect vintage scarf or shoes to finish off a look.

What is your all-time favourite purchase?
It’s actually a gift not a purchase. My mom’s silk scarf that she gifted me, she wore it a lot in her 20’s and 30’s. It sparked a love for the past and how we dressed in the 40’s to the 70’s.
What wardrobe item should everyone invest in?
A great pair of comfortable but stylish shoes, when your feet are happy you feel like you could walk a mile.
Do you have a style rule you always obey?
Wear what you love with confidence. It makes an outfit great!
What has been the highlight of your career so far?
Everyday is a highlight, to do what I enjoy each day is a pleasure and the biggest highlight. This feeling will never get old as each day is new and brings a new challenge and lesson.
What can’t you live without?
My family, each member brings a different strength and support that I can’t do without.
