Looks from STORM’s new Autumn 2017 collection.
STORM celebrate ten years in business this Autumn which is an impressive achievement for a brand that was founded right before the global economy went pear-shaped. STORM’s strong creative vision, commitment to designer clothing at an accessible price and smart business structure has meant they’re not just survived but thrived in the past decade.
“Our Autumn collection reflects the essence of the STORM brand”, says Deborah Caldwell, STORM’s creator. “Women who wear STORM are fearless, edgy and have an inner rock star. I wanted this collection to celebrate the loyal following we have gained over the last ten years STORM has been in business”.
For this collection STORM have taken their core silhouettes and reinvented them in exclusive prints, designed on new fabrics and textures. Those hero pieces include STORM’s iconic leather jacket which has a new slim-line look for this season in soft New Zealand lamb leather. The brand are known for their stylish prints and the hero print of the range is called ‘fatal crush’ and is a moody serpent motif designed in charcoal and khaki green. While the softly pretty ‘birds afloat ‘print in white, raspberry sky blue is beautiful on 100% black silk.
Feminine ruffles and delicate lace on tops and dresses are perfectly juxtaposed with wool and leather on jackets and coats for a modern, chic look. Flared sleeves, semi-sheer panels and metallic stripes keep things playful and a bit rebellious. Storm fans will find many options to incorporate and update their wardrobes with for the new season. After such a successful ten years we can’t wait to see what the next decade brings for STORM.
