An exciting new collaboration from Merchant 1948 sneaker brand, Deuce and womenswear brand STORM launches today with an exclusive 3-piece range of sneakers. Both brands are New Zealand owned and operated and the collaboration came about organically as a natural progression of the ongoing relationship based on shared values and similar design ethos.

The range itself features two Vulcanized leather sneakers with modern, double height soles and quintessential STORM details like studs and cosmic icons that will no doubt please both brand’s many fans. The third style is a directional chunky sneaker with metallic trim, inspired by the trend that has dominated the international runways.

“We wanted to capture the ‘modern rock and roll’ edge of the STORM brand, in shoes that would appeal to both Deuce and STORM customers. We believe many New Zealand women feel strongly about supporting home grown NZ brands and will shop in STORM for their apparel and Merchant 1948 for their footwear, it felt like the perfect pairing” says Director/Head of Design, Louise Anselmi.

It really is a perfect match, with STORM’s signature edgy aesthetic and Deuce Sneakers’ superior design and comfort combining to make some seriously chic footwear. The collection was designed entirely in-house between the two brands and produced by Merchant 1948’s craftsmen in their own purpose-built factory, the shoes have been a true collaboration from start to finish.

The collection is available from today in selected Merchant 1948 stores, all STORM stores, and online at merchant1948.co.nz and stormonline.com.
