Stolen Girlfriends Club presents ‘Nasty Goreng’

Braving a cold winter’s night, it seemed that most of Auckland descended on a vacant warehouse in Newmarket  to get a sneak peek of the new Stolen Girlfriends Club Spring collection titled, ‘Nasty Goreng’.  Also making a debut was the brand new MINI PACEMAN which had its time shine at the end of the show.

Nasty Goreng is a collection described as witty and wearable. Stepping into the seedy intrigue of a downtown East meets West, the range is full of beautiful prints and fun colours and Stolen staples. Hand-brushed leopard markings in red and pearly white make their way onto silky jumpsuits and lingerie-styled dresses. Neoprene is used in full-hemmed prom dresses, jackets and sweat-shirting. Soft, desert-wash linen is used in day dresses and the story ends with a demure cluster of black, silk-blend jacquard for the girls.

In menswear, the offering is easy – layered waterproof jackets, moth-eaten knits, oversized wool shorts, waterproof pleated pants and a heavy duty wool biker jacket. The silk bomber promises to be a clear favourite among the fashion pack. A nod to Versace sees an antique gold tiger embroidered onto its back and also works its way onto sweatshirts and tees.

As for the MINI PACEMAN I’m sure for many, this addition in all its ‘Death Moth’ print glory made the seventh member of the MINI family another coveted feature of the runway.

Nasty Goreng will be available in stores July & August 2013
