Stephen Marr says of the event concept: “The shows provide us with a unique creative platform to marry our stylist teams to the labels who we’ve supported for so many years and who share our artistic values.  Hallertau is a great fit for us and The Golden Dawn culturally – it’s a bit rock ‘n’ roll and anti-corporate which we love.”

As one of New Zealand’s most respected hair brands, a Stephen Marr goal is to continually push creative fashion boundaries within the local community, in the most innovative ways.  The salon has a history of partnering with some of the best fashion labels in New Zealand including Cybele, Juliette Hogan, Hailwood, Jimmy D and Lonely Hearts as well as those on display in this year’s event. This is not the first outing form “The Marr Factory” – In 2005 and 2006, Stephen Marr hosted two events dubbed ‘The Marr Factory Presents’ which served to provide a creative platform for emerging designers such as Cybele, Otsu, Miss Crabb, Des Rusk and Lonely Hearts.
