Welcoming in the new season with a change of approach is moochi‘s new Excelsis collection which offers beautiful new hues and prints for Spring. More recent seasons have seen a pared back approach from moochi, and while there’s still monochromatic looks on offer in this range, the focus is on playful texture and detailed prints in elegant silhouettes.
A charming ditsy floral is among the range’s hero prints and works well in a matching cropped top and full length skirt as well as in an easy to wear shirt dress. An oversized striped green and white cotton shirt is just the kind of piece that is perfect for transitioning into summer while moochi’s signature blazers and tailored pants offer versatility and effortless style. There’s plenty of sleek black pieces for those who prefer moochi’s take on office to evening looks while charming tiered styles with sweet frills add a more feminine touch to the collection.
The accompanying campaign imagery was captured by talented photographer Mara Sommer and features gorgeous model Ngahuia Williams as the collection’s muse. The imagery was shot in the architecturally designed Kawakawa House at Piha on Auckland’s West Coast which has stunning coastal views and is surrounded by an abundance of nature. The lofty multi-storeyed structure features spiralling staircases, cathedral-like floor-to-ceiling glass windows and an intriguing mix of industrial and natural textures which worked perfectly to evoke the feeling of the collection.
Excelsis is perfectly accessorised like all moochi collections with stylish footwear and accessories accompanying the range. Available at moochi stores and online now, the collection offers a contemporary way to embrace the warming weather and new season.
