Standard Issue and BENEE have released a sweet collaboration in support of Country Retreat Animal Sanctuary. The limited edition vest was designed by Stella Bennett (BENEE) in partnership with the Standard Issue team and with zero-waste output at the brand’s Tāmaki Makaurau (Auckland) workroom.
The vest features a unique retriever illustration by artist Logan Buchanan on the front and is crafted from 100% fine merino wool. It’s available in two colourways and two different sizes allowing the freedom to wear and fit to your preference with an XS – M and a L – 2XL on offer.
100% of the profits from this collaboration will be donated to Country Retreat Animal Sanctuary who provide a safe haven for vulnerable animals. it’s an organisation close to Stella’s heart and she’s delighted to be able to support the sanctuary in this way. The money raised will aid in the building of much needed infrastructure and resources for the animals.
Country Retreat Animal Sanctuary is run by husband-and-wife team Helen and Gavin, who focus on the rescue and nurture of pregnant mothers and very young puppies. Those animals often require around-the-clock care and are the two most vulnerable groups of dogs with devastatingly high abandonment rates. In the past two years, the retreat has rescued and re-homed over 300 puppies, including Stella’s own dog, Tui.
The Standard Issue x BENEE Vest is available online from today for $199.
