Specsavers recently released their new Autumn/Winter 2019 eyewear collection which features a strong mix of bold frames and vibrant hues. The range was inspired by the revival of 90’s style that has been prevalent on the runway and features bold logos and modern shapes. Key colours include reflective blues, luminous greens, rich reds, dusty pinks and purples and shades of gold which work beautifully with new season wardrobe options. Specsavers have designed the range to ‘help glasses wearers to express their individual style, make a statement and really stand out from the crowd.’
Stig Engelbreth Hansen, the Global Head of Product Design for Specsavers recently unveiled the Autumn/Winter 2019 collection and explained the bold new design decisions. “Glasses wearers are becoming more and more daring when it comes to selecting their frames. This season it’s all about the attitude and confidence that glasses can bring out in the wearer. It is this desire for individual style that has led to a return of colour in our new season collections,” says Stig.
“We’ve seen a resurgence of letterbox shapes emerging in invisible rimless styles and high bridge round-eyes. The eclecticism we have seen on major runways is shining through in eyewear, with big and bold logos coming back and brighter colours being used in translucent acetates.”
Oversized round metal frames, cat eye styles in bold acetate and vintage-inspired panto shapes are currently the most popular eyewear styles for women. While for men, panto shapes in both metal and acetate are in, as are classic aviator styles which are a perennial favourite.
Specsavers new range has over 200 new pieces launching throughout the new season with something to please everyone. The new eyewear comes from the brand’s popular designer collaborations from the likes of Alex Perry, Collette Dinnigan and Kylie Minogue as well as Specsavers’ own ranges.
This new season sees several exclusive international designer collections joining Specsaver’s portfolio, including an stuning range from Parisian luxury fashion house KENZO. British fashion brand Red or Dead will unveil a cutting-edge collection of glasses featuring clever interchangeable arms, meaning glasses wearers can swap and change their frame depending on their preferred look. Specsavers will also introduce new frames with removable nose pads that ensure a comfortable and perfect fit option for those with lower nose bridges, higher cheekbones, and wider faces.
Specsavers stylish new Autumn/Winter 2019 collection is priced from $299 for two pairs single vision glasses and is available in Specsavers stores nationwide.
