SOMEKIND is the latest creation of Federation founder and creative director, Jenny Joblin. She debuted a creative art exhibition in late 2015 which evolved into neon artwork and more recently clothing collections for SOMEKIND, which beautifully accompany Federation’s collections.

The brand’s new collection for Spring/Summer 2018/19 was recently released and features luscious textures, detailed prints and a suitably pretty colour palette for the warmer months. Joblin brings her love of artistic concepts to this winsome range that is full of decorative elements including gold embroidery, flared sleeves, distressed details and a sequin effect.

Called ‘for all the dreamers’, this collection features exclusive prints and whimsical fabrications that elevate every day pieces into something special. The feminine looks have a dressed up feel that easily take the wearer from day to night and into the weekend. Elegant dresses and sweet skirts are accompanied by floaty kimonos, casual tees and ruffled tops.

The summery campaign for the range was shot on location in Milford on Auckland’s North Shore, which is not far from Joblin’s home and is perfectly picturesque. It’s easy to get a sense of the lightness and ease of movement of these garments and they are just the right choice as we head into summer.

SOMEKIND’s Spring/Summer 2018/19 collection is available in stores and online now.
