Silk&Steel were inspired by the glamour of the 1960s for their latest jewellery collection called ‘La Dolce Vita’ that is full of gorgeous statement pieces with a rock-glam edge. This is the third spring/summer 2017/18 collection from the jewellery brand who also dropped beautiful new collections in September and October this year.
“Vintage jewellery has always been a passion of mine; the story of past creations and the style of a bygone era. La Dolce Vita has been a labour of love for over two years and I’m so proud of this beautifully original, yet timeless collection,” says designer and founder Sarah Cotterall.
For this new range the designer looked to her Italian heritage to create a collection of statement couture pieces that are sophisticated and luxurious but suitable for every day. While there are an assortment of statement pieces in the collection, the Prima Donna ring is a central piece and is complemented by pendants and earrings in beautiful Black Spinel, Labrarodite and Moonstone. The stunning Amore necklace and ear climbers, made up of pear, emerald and solitaire cut gemstones round out the range.
“The Prima Donna ring is the centrepiece of La Dolce Vita, so once the stone cut was perfected we were then able to complete the other designs,” adds Sarah. “I’ve worked very closely with my manufacturer in Jaipur to achieve this and taken great care and pride to ensure that this unique and limited edition collection is one of perfection from concept to completion!”
La Dolce Vita takes signature design elements like the Anther spike and distinct pear shape and round cut stones from previous Silk&Steel collections which means these new pieces will work seamlessly with your existing Silk&Steel jewellery and can be layered for a more dramatic effect. Each piece is carefully created in rhodium, 18 karat gold, rose gold and sterling silver.
Silk&Steel’s creative collaboration with Aki Ang, the super talented fashion blogger from The Sleek Avenue, continues with Aki styling and art directing this elegant campaign. The contemporary images were shot by CJ from Alter Ego and feature lovely model Laura Snelling of N Management.
