Silk & Steel have released their gorgeous new jewellery collection titled Manhattan in stores and online. The elegant range is inspired by vintage jewellery with pieces reminiscent of the ’60s, ’70s and ’80s among the collection. Designer Sarah Cotterall has designed Manhattan to be a collection of jewellery that you can enjoy wearing individually or layer together in harmony with each other.
Texture is a key feature of Manhattan’s chains and pendants that includes interlocking mesh link chokers that fluidly drape around wrists and collarbones. There’s also round box and figaro style pendants with inlaid mother of pearl which have been designed for effortless styling and work beautifully together. Hoop earrings that also feature mother of pearl inlaid pendants complete the look. When it comes to chains, which are a Silk & Steel staple item, there’s several styles on offer from chunky chains with a retro edge to knitted silhouettes of past classics which offer plenty of styling options.
You can’t throw back to the glamorous fashion of the past without including tassels which were a prominent feature of vintage jewellery particularly from the ’70s. Silk & Steel have gone for luxe tassel necklaces and earrings which offer an appealing finishing touch to your outfit. Customers will also find Silk & Steel’s signature spike detail on the end of necklaces and bracelets which adds an edgy twist to these chic designs.
