Shoe Blog: Front Row Toe

Front Row Toe

While the looks on the catwalk at fashion week might dictate what will be in our wardrobes for next season, its who’s wearing what in the front row that tells us what’s hot right now. Comprised of buyers, bloggers, fashion editors, models and celebrities – what they’re wearing is just as fascinating as on the catwalk.

Clothing can be anything from an item from the designer’s collection to classics such as blazers and LBDs. Accessories however, are key. A pair of killer heels and a lust worthy bag can give a basic outfit a high fashion update.

Check out our pick of the latest “front row worthy” shoes, in store now at www.scarpa.co.nz

Neon AVA by Audley. You can stand all day in a wedge, and this platform patent/suede style from Audley features this season’s hottest hue.

HOPE by Paco Gil in “fanta” colourway.  From the designer of last summer’s hottest style, Paco Gil is the king of colour blocking.

Platform HANA by Paco Gil is just plain hot. With a curvy killer heel, eggshell pink contrasted with black and 60’s inspired buckle – she had us at hello.

If you want to make like one of the cool kids and go all street style or “off duty model”, look no further than the MELODY Italian python high tops. We love the turquoise for summer.  Pair with your leather Helmut Lang (or similar) pants. Now also in red python as well as glittery black or beige python.

If you’ve always thought of yourself as more of a Charlotte than a Carrie, the white patent KENZO with green multi floral print is gorgeously girly and prim enough for a 50’s retro look or pleated skirt.

The exotic tribal feel of black & white plaited LOLA by Pons Quintana is bang on trend. You can’t go wrong with monochrome.

Favoured by celebs all over the world for its leg lengthening effect, the nude platform is a must. DIPILLE by Stuart Weitzman is a sexy peep-toe version with an aggressive foam filled platform for even more va-va-voom!

Now available at www.runwayshoes.co.nz Chie Mihara are the ultimate in quirky. We love the blood orange/magenta/chartreuse concoction of VITORIA – pare back with a neutral blazer or floaty dress.

We couldn’t not include a point in the front row line up – the pointed toe is officially back! Meet CAPSIZE by Stuart Weitzman, a maryjane in blushing nude with silver toe cap.

The rock-star designs of Stella McCartney attract the world’s hottest celebs. We’re wild for the IVANKA – a faux python peep-toe with a neon-pink twist. Available at www.runwayshoes.co.nz
