Shen have recently released some beautiful new pieces that have been captured in stunning images by photographers Sam Lee and Damien Nikora. The brand is designed by Mary-Ellen Prendergast and is known for its contemporary pieces that are elegant and clean. These images are intended to capture the independent spirit of the Shen woman and showcase the modern beauty and versatility of the pieces.
Photographers Sam Lee and Damien Nikora each collaborated with Mary-Ellen on shoots that are all about natural beauty and effortless dressing. Each one shows the Shen woman being independent and confident while still being herself. Nikora captured some gorgeous natural light in his nature-themed shots while Lee shot some strong inner city images that highlight the bold colours of the garments perfectly.
The brand is designed and made in New Zealand with Shen eschewing the conventional model of seasonal collections and instead regularly dropping new pieces. Shen’s popular kimonos (as seen above right) are must-haves as they’re perfect transeasonal pieces that are available in a range of colours. Shen prefers to utilise natural fabrics for its cleverly draped designs and it has all the essentials for the modern woman’s wardrobe.
