Trends come and go – some are welcome resurgences and others should probably be left in the era they were dredged up from. Hair accessories are something that will never really go out of style. Just like wearing an outfit, styling your hair with accessories can show personality, individual style and complete a look. We are predicting trends such as the fuzzy bucket hat and anything checkered to be some of the most popular trends for 2022.
Fuzzy Bucket Hat
This trend is channelling all kinds of Jamiroquai in the ’90s and we love it. The fuzzy bucket hat is our prediction for one of the biggest hair accessory trends for 2022 – just you wait and see.
Scrunchies
This one was a surprise to see come back, as scrunchies really do belong in the ’80s and ’90s, but actually, they have been growing on us and we are starting to dig the scrunchie trend. We see this trend here to stay for 2022.
Headbands
Blair Waldorf called and she totally endorses this trend. This preppy trend has been popular for a while now – we are especially seeing a resurgence of the top knot headband.
Butterfly clips
This trend takes me back to my childhood – trying to fit as many butterfly clips around the frame of your face, in all the colours of the rainbow. This trend has another tick of approval from us.
Anything Checkered
The checkered trend is probably going to be the biggest trend of 2022. Checkered furniture, beach and bath towels, rugs and of course, hair accessories are all the rage right now.
Claw Clips
The trusty claw clip, though this isn’t a new trend, the claw clip has been popular for some time now and we can see why. This ’90s derived style is not only super cute but an easy way to keep the hair of your face – with the ability to be styled in multiple ways.
Logo Barrette
Nearly every fashionista has rocked this trend and if you have the money to do so, then we are all for it. The logo barrette is a super cute way to style your hair with a fashionable edge and all the luxury brands are releasing barrette products – Gucci, Dior, Louis Vuitton and Chanel.
