Designer Sarah McNaughton from local sustainable label Sarah Bell recently launched her Spring 2020 collection for pre-order online with delivery in mid-September. Offering pre-orders has become popular to minimise waste and overproduction and ensures customers are able to get the pieces they want before they sell out. Sarah Bell launched earlier this year and is ethically produced in New Zealand in limited editions with sustainability at the core of the brand.
After over 30 years in the fashion industry as an in-demand patternmaker for the likes of Jenny Packham and Karen Walker, Sarah has returned to working for herself on her own label. Sarah Bell offers her charming, timeless take on fashion that is designed to appeal to women of any age.
The brand’s spring collection is small but perfectly formed offering the Leonie Blouse in hand dyed organic voile and the Joyce Rib Henley (inspired by vintage military Henley undershirts) knitted in organic cotton. There’s also the John Jean available in unbleached cotton and indigo and the Derek Jean skirt in indigo, unbleached and moss denim. Each garment is designed to be lived in and is made to last for many seasons. Sarah Bell offers a conscious approach to dressing sustainably helping simplify your wardrobe without compromising on style.
