Saben recently released the brand’s Autumn/Winter collection for 2022 in stores and online, which is a nod to nostalgia and the Great Outdoors. Founder and creative director Roanne Jacobson looked to the ever changing landscapes and vast terrain of the natural world which is reflected in the refined colour palette and style of the collection.
There’s beautiful rich berry tones, deep navy and muted tussock green forming the base of the range with a crisp glacier inspired hue and classic tan and black rounding out the season’s colours. A sophisticated python print also features and the new pieces anchored by elemental gold chunky chains. Classic black is a staple in Aotearoa and it has been given a textural update for this range, alongside navy and tan, with an appealing oversized bubble leather.
Saben are known for their stylish designs that are also functional and practical with the brand’s popular styles returning for many seasons in updated hues. Saben’s mainstay styles of Frankie, Fifi, Tilly, Big Sis’ and Matilda are all a part of this collection. There’s also new season silhouette Bea which is the mini version of the brand’s beloved Beatrice Handbag, and is a crossbody bag designed with architectural precision. Other firm favourites featuring in this range are Odile, Liv and Carter.
“Inspired by the women who wear them, our hero silhouettes take centre stage in a trans-seasonal palette, alongside an adventurous print for those in need of a sartorial update,” says Roanne Jacobson.
There’s more new styles with the arrival of Chelsea and Willow which are slouchy silhouettes in a hobo shape and are a great solution for those who need more space without the additional baggage. Saben are adept at maximising and minimising the brand’s range of silhouettes for ease of wear and there’s everything from mini crossbody bags and cardholders to oversized carry-all-come-weekender-come-baby bags that can fit every essential in this range.
