Mother’s Day is this Sunday 8th May and Saben have released a special campaign for it which also sees founder and creative director Roanne Jacobson celebrating Saben’s 20th birthday business milestone with her own family. It’s a big professional and personal milestone for Roanne and the portrait series features her with her two boys Jack and Adam alongside eleven families from the Saben community.
“It’s a deeply emotional campaign and an honour to share the lives and experiences of mothers from our community. Being in front of the camera with my boys (who are now both taller than me!) the same year we celebrate Saben’s 20th birthday is a milestone for me personally and professionally. It’s forced me to reflect on how the business has grown. My boys are a physical representation of that growth. It’s a surreal feeling.” says Roanne Jacobson.
‘By Your Side’ is Saben’s annual Mother’s Day Portrait series which profiles mothers who have experienced challenges in their journey to motherhood; post-partum depression, surrogacy and struggles with fertility. Roanne and the Saben team love sharing their annual portrait series with their community and are always humbled by the families they meet, as they share the highs, lows and the deeply personal experiences. While everybody’s experience may differ, these stories are grounded together by the common thread of surrender and unconditional love that comes with Motherhood and ‘Otherhood.
Saben’s newly launched signature hue ‘Lucky Pink’ was the backdrop for this year’s campaign which was lensed by photographer Mike Rooke. The brand’s favoured rose-tinted hue has been synonymous with Saben for two decades and features on many signature styles including the sleek luggage range.
For Saben, women are the driving force behind their business with the brand’s motto ‘Inspired By The Women Who Wear Them’ is at the forefront of everything they do. From the beginning, Saben has always celebrated women and their Mother’s Day campaign is the highlight of the brand’s year.
