Saben’s latest collection called Exhale is available in stores and online today with the brand inspired by taking a moment and being present for their Spring/Summer 2018 collection. Everything moves at an increasingly quick pace these days but in the modern world it’s so important to breathe and take time for yourself. “Moments of being present have to be created. Having time, space and energy and no distractions – that is luxury. That feeling became the starting point of our collection,” says founder and designer Roanne Jacobson.

That idea of space and revitalising is present in Saben’s beautiful new colour palette which comprises of clean white, soft linen, earthy tan and classic black with a bright pop of energy in the form of a poppy red. Roanne has added a charming new navy hue that’s called Prussian, and is a loving ode to the designer’s early chapters as an artist. It used to be Roanne’s favourite colour to paint with and as the act of painting itself is so meditative, it is a perfect fit for the calm and serene feel of the collection.

Among the covetable new styles is Rebe which picks up from the successful hobo style Bex from last season but in a smaller size. The relaxed shape is casually elegant and is ideal for carrying less but still keeping the essentials close. Also on the smaller side is new shape Finn, which is cleverly described as the nano version of best-selling styles Frankie and Fifi. It’s petite size and long strap make it a go-to for summer festivals or those days when you just want to take your keys, cards and phone with you.

Cult favourites Tilly and Tilly’s Big Sis are Saben staples and for good reason, they’re versatile and oh so easy to carry. Saben have done new variations including an eye-catching hand-woven chevron texture and resort style cotton canvas stripe that are sure to be popular this season. The hand-woven chevron is not only stunning but is a subtle tie back to the idea of creating moments and making time as the practice of weaving requires time and is meditative and therapeutic for the makers.

Saben are well known for putting a great deal of thought into every product with their aim to make life as easy and practical as possible for New Zealand women, while still looking stylish and feeling confident. With that in mind they created Freddie which has modern mums in mind with pockets a-plenty, pram straps and handle options for multi-ways-to-wear. Its over-sized shape and fuss-free black exterior makes it a excellent choice for new mums especially.

While Tilly is often referred to as the original wearable wallet, this season Saben have extended their wallet range with more continental wallet styles being welcomed to their collection. Sam, Delilah and Zoey are the new wallet styles that offer a multitude of storage options in sleek shapes. They co-ordinate wonderfully with the rest of the Exhale collection and offer Saben customers the option to match tones across their pieces. With so many gorgeous choices on offer in this new collection Saben fans are truly spoilt for choice.

Exhale is available at Saben stores, stockists and online now.
