Spring brings with it the prettiest new collections like RUBY‘s new range called Bounty which arrives in stores and online today. The brand excel at creating collections that are playful and modern yet toy with romantic nostalgia in an appealing way. Creative Director Deanna Didovich has a knack for designing covetable pieces that RUBY fans can’t help but be enchanted by each season and this particular range was inspired by the beauty and optimism of Spring.
“One of the biggest joys for me is the day the cherry blossoms start to bloom around my neighbourhood. It marks a clear shift in season, when you know daylight savings is around the corner and everything just seems a bit brighter. This year in particular I think we all need a bit more sunlight in our lives!” says Deanna.
It wouldn’t be a Spring collection without a healthy dose of colourful florals and RUBY’s key print called Lucy is a lively watercolour floral that is printed on the brand’s traced-back-to-source Silk Crepe de Chine. The gorgeous Lucy Silk Dress is a truly memorable piece featuring an open back and bias cut shape which makes it perfect for the warming weather. The winsome Kendall Linen Dress also has a bias cut but with fun puffed sleeves and is available in vibrant jade and candy pink.
“As always, I am most inspired by colour – it usually dictates what direction I take the collection in. I was very much drawn to a juicy watermelon pink for spring, and countered this with clean azure blue, crisp white and black,” adds Deanna. “Keep an eye out for our most coveted Corvette Trouser in Watermelon, as well as additions to our signature Mirella collection in this delicious shade.”
Another key print for the season is the Bounty Floral which is a charming 70’s style ditsy floral in peachy oranges that features on a stunning cape back blouse with bow closures that matches an ankle-grazing skirt. There’s also a matching face mask on offer to complete the look too. Continuing the 70’s style is the flared Clover Jean which will no doubt be a Spring staple. The Ima pieces in a soft crepe knit with delicate scalloped edges will also be on high rotation with the square necked Ima Crop an easy piece to incorporate into your wardrobe. There’s also fresh updates to RUBY’s popular Mirella pieces and an alluring two-tone Milano dress with a plunging neckline that will be a party favourite. RUBY certainly delivers the goods this season with this bountiful collection.
