The chilly weather is arriving which means cosy winter collections and the latest is moochi‘s Palette 2 ‘In Vision’ range which arrived in stores and online this week. This season sees the brand take inspiration from a musical muse with the resulting collection a sublime mix of dark moody pieces and light celestial ones. The starting point of Creative director Kellie Taylor’s inspiration was the lyrics of artist Florence Welch from Florence and the Machine – “she dances to the songs in her head, speaks with the rhythm of her heart”. With that in mind Kellie wanted moochi fans to remember that ‘perspective, vulnerability and love can rhyme with strength, beauty and power, encouraging us to dance through it all with love in vision…’
What that translates to is a modern, luxe range with all the signature pieces that moochi are known for with a touch of high winter opulence. The colour palette features hues of deep jade, juniper blue, subtle ivory and rich chocolate all underpinned with moochi’s favoured black. Playful pops of colour come from exotic tangerine punch and candy pink while there’s also dusky grey and soft pale blue to lighten things up with rich gold adding to the luxe feel of the range.
A key hero piece is the leather glory jacket with its silver hardware details and classic biker cut and moochi fans will love the continue pant re-invented in luxe stretch leather. Add a suitably soft knit or sweater for a perfectly chic winter look. There’s also the vegan leather lucid skirt which has a croc embossed texture and is a stunning piece this season. The fleetwrap top and framework pant are eye-catching in antique gold and will add a beautiful shimmer to those dark winter nights.
There’s also cosy winter coats including the envelop coat with it’s oversized lapels and boxy fit while the trench inspired encore coat has a classic look. Stylish jackets, roomy sweaters and moochi’s every present gauzy layers of tops and dresses offer an easy way to update for the winter season. As always the range is beautifully complemented by all the right accessories including the domain boot in an eclectic leather snakeskin and the stamp boot in pebbled leather with a western inspired boot heel. Modern rock inspired jewellery completes the collection of gorgeous looks that will have moochi customers dancing for sure this season.
