Plantae is one of our favourite homegrown natural skincare brands, they are one of New Zealand’s only certified organic skincare brands putting a strong emphasis on looking after the environment as well as your skin. Their ingredients are created via organic farming practices without the need to use harsh toxins and synthetic chemicals. Plantae products are also Zero Plastic Inside accredited and contain no nasty chemicals such as phenoxyethanol, parabens, mineral oils, SLES, artificial colours and fragrances, propylene glycol, PEGs, EDTA, triethylsilane, isopropyl alcohol and formaldehydes… Phew!
We managed to pop along to an event hosted by Plantae with the exciting launch of their new campaign #authenticallybeautiful and the announcement of their new brand ambassador – none other than the authentically beautiful Kiwi herself, Rachel Hunter.
Plantae’s main focus with this new campaign is to open up the conversation around what beauty means and to Plantae, beauty is the nuance every woman brings when she is being her most authentic, unguarded self. Bringing international model and natural beauty advocate Rachel Hunter on board as their new brand ambassador has provided Plantae with a collaborative project that offers the opportunity to connect and align in values, with a focus on promoting natural and healthy beauty in a positive way.
Hunter was drawn to the freshness of Plantae’s natural, (mostly) New Zealand grown skincare products with certified organic ingredients, combining pure potent nutrient properties with transformational, healing powers. Some of her most loved products are the Rose Otto Essential Water and Rose Hip Fruit and Seed Serum – which she regularly travels with. She also loves the Pacific Blue Lavender Cream Cleanser and the Sea Buckthorn Berry Night Cream.
Lisa Friis, CEO Plantae explains— “Rachel represents authentic beauty to its highest level to us – being truly comfortable and confident in your own skin and coming home to yourself. She is someone who has always stayed true to herself and is embracing her new public image of representing both outward and inward beauty.”
With Plantae growing rapidly as a leading skincare brand and Rachel Hunter jumping on board for this collaborative project, it seems like a match made in heaven to us and we cannot wait to see what they come up with in the future!
