R.M.Willliams recently released their Autumn/Winter collection which celebrates the brand’s heritage and is titled From The Ground Up. R.M.Williams has always had an appreciation for the land they tread and with this range they’ve built the collection using their signature boots as a starting point, referencing its toe-to-head design philosophy, which is literally created from the ground up.
The latest collection is the brand’s most extensive seasonal range yet and references R.M.Williams’ outback heritage and its connection to Australia’s heartland. It’s designed to reflect a clever combination of urban chic with an outback informality that works in many environments and for different tastes.
This season’s womenswear offers timeless elegance and modern practicality and as you would expect it all starts with the brand’s beloved boots. This collection certainly delivers on covetable boots including new styles the Erica boot, featuring a chiselled toe with a flat heel in yearling leather; the Curio, a square toe boot with a cuban heel; and the Victoria, a western style top boot with a cuban heel and a leather screwed outer sole. R.M.Williams’ popular favourites return for this range including the Lady Yearling and the Maya which are as stylish as they are comfortable.
As we’re heading into the cooler weather there is a cosy selection of coats and shearling jackets which make for great outerwear choices. Romantic shirting, bow neck blouses and soft midi dresses crafted from cotton and silk add a lightness to the range, while charming suede pieces including detailed jackets and vests add a rustic texture. The collection imagery was shot by Darren McDonald in New South Wales’ Snowy River National Park, amongst the quintessential ridges of Mount Kosciusko and draws on the unique landscape for inspiration. It explores the journey of a family traveling up to the mountain on foot and horseback through the beautiful wild country, which wonderfully showcases the utility and elegance of the collection.
