Project Runway New Zealand is launching soon and TVNZ 2 is on the hunt for talented designers who will take part in the first season made here. It’s a huge opportunity for aspiring designers with the chance to present their work to not just the panel of judges but have it seen by the nation as well. New Zealander Sean Kelly won Season 13 of the fashion television show in the US and presented his collection on the runway at New York Fashion Week, returning home to show at New Zealand Fashion Week the following year.
The New Zealand version of the show will see the designers compete against one another in a series of demanding challenges that test resourcefulness and creativity each week. As with the international version, a designer will be eliminated each week after presenting their work for the judging panel. Currently it hasn’t yet been announced who the presenter or judging panel will be but we can’t wait to see how this new iteration of Project Runway unfolds here at home.
If you’re keen to take up the challenge and be a part of this debut season of Project Runway New Zealand you can apply online here.
