With nearly 20 years of experience in fashion, beauty, and lifestyle PR, I founded Savage Society with a singular mission: to provide bespoke, strategic communications that truly resonate.
My goal is to work closely with my clients, becoming an extension of their team, helping to shape their stories, and ensuring they are told in the most compelling way. My approach is always tailored to each brand’s unique story, ensuring that their narrative is told authentically and in the right places, to the right people.
Savage Society is a boutique consultancy designed to be flexible, collaborative, and results-driven. Savage Society offers a range of services, from PR strategy, brand partnerships, and influencer engagement to event production, content creation, and fashion shoot art direction. Whether I’m working on an intimate media launch or directing a fashion shoot for a global collection, every approach is tailored to fit the brand’s unique needs. It’s about ensuring they are not only seen but remembered.
I’m fortunate to work with a diverse range of incredible clients. Elle & Riley Cashmere, a brand that epitomises modern luxury, has been incredibly rewarding. I’ve had the privilege of helping shape their storytelling and build their presence both locally and internationally. Most recently, I produced their ‘Second Nature’ collection launch event, which reflected the evolution of the brand and showcased its growing global appeal. My role also incorporates art directing and producing their fashion shoots, where I’ve helped refine the visual storytelling to elevate the brand’s aesthetic.
Zambesi, an icon in New Zealand fashion, continues to innovate and push boundaries. From co-producing their NZFW 2023 show which featured the collection against the dramatic backdrop of Auckland’s Viaduct Harbour, to leading the launch of their first fragrance, ‘1979’, I’ve been proud to help bring these creative moments to life. These events encapsulate the spirit of Zambesi: bold, innovative, and always memorable.
Layla Kaisi Collection has been an exciting project, where I’ve worked to elevate the brand’s local presence. While the brand made headlines with its debut at Paris Fashion Week and pieces worn by Cardi B at the Mugler show, I’ve focused on amplifying Layla’s unique approach to fine jewellery design in the New Zealand market, helping her build meaningful connections with local media and tastemakers.
Embodyme is another project I’m incredibly proud of. The brand redefines body care by focusing on intentional rituals that nurture both body and mind. I helped shape its launch and worked to secure extensive media coverage in New Zealand’s top fashion and lifestyle publications. This coverage helped position Embodyme as a leader in the modern ‘wellnessification’ movement, encouraging self-connection and emotional balance through daily rituals.
Tuesday Label continues to evolve, and I’ve recently supported the brand’s growth into a more elevated space while maintaining its accessible and effortlessly wearable appeal by art directing the brand’s latest campaign shoot, elevating its visual identity and ensuring it resonated with their loyal customer base while also appealing to a broader audience.
Working with Face Up, founded by Olga Newman, has been an inspiring collaboration. I’ve worked closely with Olga to elevate her profile as New Zealand’s leader in facial sculpting, positioning her as an expert in this emerging space while amplifying the transformative benefits of facial sculpting as a science-backed skincare practice. Through a highly strategic media approach, I secured extensive coverage across New Zealand’s top beauty and wellness platforms, ensuring Face Up’s message reached the right audiences and cemented its place at the forefront of the industry.
A standout moment this year was launching The NZ Polo Open through an impactful media event, designed to demystify the sport and expand its audience. By bringing in new media voices and uncovering the myths and unknowns about polo, we opened up fresh conversations while maintaining the event’s prestige.
I don’t see myself as a traditional publicist; what I do is long-term brand building, storytelling, and ensuring that brands stay relevant in an ever-evolving landscape. A well-executed campaign, a thoughtful piece of press, or a perfectly timed collaboration has the power to shape not just a brand, but an entire conversation.
Across all of my clients, whether it’s building their profile through media coverage, producing high-impact events, or overseeing creative campaigns, my goal remains the same: to help brands tell their stories in the most authentic, impactful way possible. It’s a job I love, and I feel incredibly lucky to help elevate some of New Zealand’s most exciting brands.
