PR Power Broker: Milly Hewat-Wall, Director at Someday Studios

We are a creative communications agency born from a desire to provide unrestrained creative solutions for brands.

Set up by myself, and my brother Henry back in 2020, we have carved a niche for servicing brands that have a challenger mindset; clients that understand the importance of storytelling, and aren’t afraid to take risks. We take a different approach to the standard agency, resisting old fashioned silos by allowing strategy and creative to work together from the offset. With us, there’s no hand off period where insight and momentum are lost. Just a direct line from research all the way to integrated market exertion. This makes for richer strategy and a more intelligent and focused creative and PR solutions. Our backgrounds in some of Australasia’s best creative advertising agencies sets us apart – Henry as a creative director with conceptual, big-picture approach, while I bring a strategic approach honed in suiting* and (*Mad Men era nickname for client and creative management). This combination allows us to take on each project with insight and creativity – We’re not just ticking boxes; we’re crafting solutions that make sense for the brand and the audience. We deliver PR, brand, strategy, creative direction and original production across all platforms—but the way we approach each project is the same: we dig into the heart of the problem, align on the solution, and bring it to life in a way that resonates. Whether it’s launching a new product or building a brand identity, our approach always starts with deep insight.

What’s key to this approach is our team. It’s not just about the work we do but how we do it. Henry and I co-direct a group of creative thinkers who each bring something different to the table. We’ve built an environment where collaboration isn’t just encouraged—it’s expected. By working together, we’re able to produce work that’s not only smart but feels fresh, grounded, and authentic. It’s a way of working that makes the process enjoyable and the end result something we’re all proud of. Our clients reflect the breadth and variety of our work. as Les Mills, Yu Mei, Abel and the Aotearoa Art Fair. We’ve worked with FMCG brands like Almighty and Two Islands, and supported meaningful charity initiatives like Voices of Hope. These projects give us the chance to do more than just execute campaigns—we get to help shape the conversations and narratives that matter in those spaces. Ultimately, at Someday Studios, it’s not about following trends or simply making noise. It’s about crafting meaningful, well-considered work that adds value to our clients’ stories. We believe that good work speaks for itself, and that’s why we focus on getting the fundamentals right from the very start. Our approach may be different, but it’s one that’s consistently led to success—for us, and for the brands we work with.
