Plus size workwear for Spring

With warmer months coming, now is a great time to refresh your work wardrobe. There are so many options out there for the office these days, and you can mix and match pieces to suit your style. Here are a few pieces we’ve found in store and online.

Plus size workwear

Speckled Shift Dress, $425 from Lost and Led Astray (left) and Safari Spice Linen Dress, $139.95 (AUD) from Taking Shape (right).

Linen blends are great for helping you stay cool when the weather starts getting hot. In the past it’s been difficult to find linen or linen blend pieces in plus sizes, but this spring and summer we will be seeing a lot more options available across all price points.

Plus size workwear

ASOS DESIGN Curve Printed Midi Tea Dress, $93.59 from ASOS (left) and Every Body Jenny Dress, $139 (AUD) from Made590 (right).

Midi dresses are the ideal length for work. Pair them with tights and ankle boots while the weather is still cool, and then transition them into summer with bare legs or sheers.

Plus size workwear

PrettyLittleThing Plus Tailored Culottes, $49.02 from ASOS (left) and ASOS DESIGN Curve tailored clean culottes,  $55.71 from ASOS (right).

If you’re wanting to take a step away from traditional suiting, tailored culottes are a smart way to go. You can pair them with anything from a smart tank or tee with a blazer to a blouse, depending on your style, the weather and how formal your office is.

Plus size workwear

Atmos&Here Curvy Pleated Midi Skirt, $69.99 (AUD) from The Iconic (left) and Every Body Valentina Midi Skirt, $149 (AUD) from Made590 (right).

Midi hemlines are very much on trend at the moment, and that certainly carries through to workwear. These skirts are really versatile and can be worn with pretty much any kind of top. If you’re wearing a midi skirt high waisted, try adding a cropped blazer to complete the look.

Plus size workwear

Vero Moda Curve Longline Blazer, $84.68 from ASOS (left) and TS Friday Jacket, AUD $189.95 from Taking Shape (right).

When it comes to jackets, you can’t go wrong with a classic black blazer. They pair well with pretty much any other colour and pattern, and are an essential part of any office wardrobe.

Plus size workwear

ASOS DESIGN Curve Zebra Print Suit Blazer, $122.56 and Wide Leg Suit Pants, $77.99 from ASOS (left) and ASOS DESIGN Curve Yellow Pop Waisted Suit Blazer, $122.56 and Slim Suit Pants, $71.31 from ASOS (right).

We love a statement suit! Not for the faint of heart, these bold colours and prints are certainly eye catching. If you’re not feeling up to a matching suit, try one starting out with either the trousers or the jacket incorporated into your outfit – it’s a great way to dip your toes in to something bolder.

Plus size workwear

Capsule By Simply Be Single Breasted Blazer, $91 (AUD) and Pencil Skirt, $45 (AUD) from Navabi (left) and ANNALISA Single Breasted Blazer, $281 (AUD) and Cropped Kick-Flare Trousers, $169 (AUD )from Navabi (right).

A well tailored suit will never go out of style. This kind of suit is incredibly versatile – the pieces can be mixed and matched with a variety of other items or worn together for a classic polished look.
