Penny Sage recently released the brand’s new collection called Ray for the Autumn/Winter 2020 season (it’s currently available to shop online and orders will ship after the New Zealand lockdown ends). It features beautiful new pieces that continue to offer the Penny Sage woman contemporary classics that are made to last. Designer Kate Megaw has an eye for creating covetable clothing that references the past but is very much for the present, with each piece carefully designed and made in Auckland. Ray picks up on key Penny Sage styles from previous seasons with a few beguiling new styles too.
Among the key pieces for the season is the winsome Ray dress which offers several variations in dreamy organza including a pretty tartan, subtle stripe and classic black. The slightly puffed sleeves, trail of covered buttons down the side and full skirt give this dress a seriously romantic feel. The Mena dress in vivid purple or a black floral is another appealing style with clever darted detailing and a back key hole tied at the neck making for a stunning maxi dress. This season sees the return of the popular Lyrical dress from previous seasons which is available in petrol denim and tan denim which makes it easy for every day wear.
It’s pretty clear Penny Sage does stellar dresses but the brand also offers great tops, pants, skirts, jumpsuits, jackets and coats too. The brand’s outerwear has wonderfully cosy options with the tailored Renata jacket and Tezeta coat both made from warm wool. Those after a flattering pair of jeans will love the Dreyfus jean with its high-waisted shape and exposed button up front featuring corozo nut buttons. This is a collection that Penny Sage fans will definitely fall in love with, it will no doubt gain the brand some new fans too as who wouldn’t want to have such sublime clothing in their wardrobe?
