The latest collection from Penny Sage has arrived in stores and online with the brand’s Spring/Summer 2019/20 collection called Novella. Designer Kate Megaw has created a beautiful range that features some of her signature silhouettes and some gorgeous new pieces with a pretty colour palette that quite literally includes a rainbow of shades. She has utilised a stunning silk organza this season, which features a bold rainbow stripe that works perfectly on the Novella shirt dress as well as the Sabine dress and Sabine Top with charming neck ties.

Penny Sage’s popular Robin dress has returned again this time in playful black and white spots while the new Marianne dress is a similar silhouette with shorter sleeves that is perfect for summer. Another winsome new style is the Veronica dress which is a full length collared shirt dress with a train of wooden ball buttons down the front that finishes above the knee. Worn buttoned up or unbuttoned with shorts or a mini skirt underneath it’s a truly elegant piece that could be worn year round.

The two-toned Paloma Shirt is a fun piece for summer as is the cropper Yrsa top and strappy Hilde cami in florals or spots. Wide-legged trousers sit high on the waist for a flattering shape while sweet button front shorts are the perfect choice for the warmer months. Penny Sage does a brilliant job of taking classic shapes and ideas and making fresh and appealing clothing for the modern woman. Who wouldn’t want to sashay through summer in these pretty pieces?
