Looks from Penny Sage’s Wildflower collection. Images supplied.
There’s nothing quite like florals to add a vibrant Spring feeling to your wardrobe and Penny Sage‘s gorgeous new Wildflowers collection offers that and more this season. Designer Kate Megaw was inspired by summer dreaming – lazy days in the sun, outside in a garden or by the sea, with floral sun umbrellas and matching patio chairs. The resulting collection for Spring/Summer 20/21 is in stores and online now and has a wonderful sense of lightness and optimism which is must needed in our uncertain times.
Penny Sage’s sublime signature styles like the Robin Dress, Marianne Dress and Mariah Wrap top feature this season in charming new prints and hues. The key print is an energetic wildflower print in bright yellow, green and blue that can be found on new sculptural styles the Ria dress and top as well as jackets, shorts and matching accessories. There’s also exaggerated summer suiting which makes for chic workwear and is perfect with the covetable Charlton Trench and matching bucket hat on not so warm days.
Penny Sage strikes the perfect balance between prettiness and playfulness in this wonderful range which offers a welcome respite from the world right now. It’s great to see a designer use just a few textiles in multiple ways to offer customers versatility and minimise waste. The brand is proudly designed and made in New Zealand in limited runs in line with Penny Sage’s mindful ethos. Thoughtful fashion that makes us feel good is exactly what we need right now.
