New Zealand fashion brand moochi continues going from strength to strength, marking an impressive 22 years in business with the celebration of opening a new moochi store in Dunedin.

Sitting on Dunedin’s central George Street, the new store even has its own name – Signal, in tribute to the city’s iconic 393-metre hill.

The store opening is a welcome reassurance for New Zealand fashion, with the last two years delivering huge challenges for the industry.

The family-owned business continues to thrive under the helm of founders and owners Kellie and Chris Taylor, and the Dunedin location is that little bit more special for them, too, as their family continues to evolve alongside the business.

“We create moochi for New Zealand woman to feel effortless and to add a little bit of luxury to her, every day. It is personally very satisfying to bring our iconic New Zealand brand to
Dunedin.

“It has taken us way too long to get here, and we are grateful for the local following that has grown throughout the years. With both my children being part of the student landscape at Otago University, Dunedin has become part of our personal family story, and it feels fitting to now have a moochi store here too,” says Kellie.

“After a challenging past year, our Dunedin store is a momentous achievement. It’s a testament to our team that’s worked tirelessly to bring the concept to life and our customers whose loyalty and enthusiasm encouraged us every step of the way,” says Alex Phillips, head of retail and merchandise at moochi.

moochi’s contemporary designs, which traditionally stay true to clean and streamlined forms, are represented not only in its latest collections but also in the new store design.
