New Zealand fashion is being showcased in Australia for the next 10 days as the final stage of The NZ Design Edit – delivered by New Zealand Trade and Enterprise as a David Jones in-store (and online) initiative.
Karen Walker, Yu Mei, Marle, Kate Sylvester, and Standard Issue are among the brands included in the trans-Tasman promotion. Other home-grown labels featured include Hotmilk, Swanndri, Deadly Ponies, Kowtow, Saben, Rod & Gunn, and icebreaker.
The David Jones flagship store in Sydney features an immersive retail space with a curated edit of New Zealand fashion, design, and art, and the New Zealand collection is also available at David Jones online. The promotion is part of New Zealand’s Trade Recovery Strategy.
“New Zealand has a rich design culture and we would like to think that it’s among the best in the world,” says Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern.
Hotmilk founder Lisa Ebbing says that being showcased along with a number of great New Zealand brands is a real privilege.
“We are thrilled to be included in this promotion and pride ourselves on creating beautiful lingerie in a wide range of sizing, which echoes what the David Jones shopper was asking for.”
The NZ Design Edit runs through until 7 August 2022.
