To achieve: Be liberal with the faux tan (I love L'Oreal Paris Sublime Bronze Tinted Shimmering Gel), use matte foundation as a base and bronzer on the cheeks. Double up the bronzer on the eyelids as an eye shadow, and then use a sparkly gold eye shadow at the inner corners of the eyes to make them glow – you can also use this gold shadow on the cheekbones as a highlighter.
Add mascara to top AND bottom lashes, and leave the lips matte and natural.
Leave the hair messy and add a few kinks with irons.
I went to the hairdresser last week, and was all full of gusto as I announced to the colourist that after a year of very serious contemplation I was ready to go brunette. You can imagine my deflation as she told me “it's just not a good idea”.
She gave me the most fabulous honey blond highlights I have ever had and I love them – so here's to another year of me talking about how “I am definitely going to go brown next time”. Or maybe I should just take the hint – I seem to be the only person in the whole world who thinks I would look great as a brunette.
Now meet my new friend Jenny.
She has just opened a fab salon called Hue – that only does hair colour (no cuts, no do's) and you can choose between normal colour products and organic products which is awesome if you are not a big fan of chemicals, or if you have a bun in the oven.
Hue was the salon that gave me the above mentioned 'best damm highlights I have ever had'.
I have a whole stack of vouchers to give away that give you $15.00 off your first treatment at Hue, which is great when you consider that a half head of foils is only $65.00!
All you have to do is email me and tell me what you want to see more of in the FashioNZ beauty section at [email protected], and I will send you a $15.00 voucher – look forward to hearing from you!
Remember Erika from my last blog? She has made it to week 3 without one little nibble. Check out the pictures below – she actually has white bits!
