Left to right: Charlie Brown, Anannah Hill, Gorman
Three of the much desired Nuffield Street designers, Alannah Hill, Charlie Brown & Gorman will be showcasing their new season collections at The Nuffield St Show during NZ Fashion Weekend.
Alannah Hill is an iconic Australian fashion designer whose humour, inspiration and wit have created a chic, sexy and elegant brand instantly recognisable and absolutely unique. As a fifteen-year-old runaway from the Tasmanian hinterlands adrift in the metropolis of Melbourne, Alannah groomed her fearlessness with high heels; hairspray and precision lipstick, then devoted herself to creating a visionary label that radiates joy, delight and confidence. The rest as we say is history. We are proud to give you a taste of this provocative, sassy and quintessentially stylish fashion icon in the Newmarket show.
Charlie Brown introduces the “Highway to Heaven, Stairway to Hell”. Her Spring Summer 2013 collection sees an explosion of bold colour, striking prints, signature animal print and sleek silhouettes – a clash that is not so much rock and roll but a stylistic combination of contrasts. Sit back and revel in a collection that is a collaboration of influences of fashion favourites which sees Charlie Brown harking back to the on trend era of the 1990’s.
Gorman
In 1999, Lisa Gorman launched her eponymous label ‘Gorman’ at fledgling boutique Fat52 in Fitzroy, Melbourne, with a collection titled 'Less Than 12 Degrees'. The instant success of that first offering was the beginning of something special and in the years that have followed the Gorman label has extended beyond Australia to become an iconic part of the fashion landscape in NZ. We salute you and look forward to showing you samples from our latest collection.
