These days (35 years later), her eponymous brand is global and she is one of the most successful designers to have ever come out of New Zealand, respected, admired, and revered for successfully managing to infuse elegance, a touch of eccentricity, and a beguiling mixture of strength and vulnerability into her designs.
The newest Karen Walker collection is available in-store and online now. Included in the line-up is a tempting array of jackets (we’re smitten with both the quilted jacket, with signature KW monogram pattern, and boiled wool Hillside jacket), vests, cashmere jumpers, organic cotton dresses, laid-back go-anywhere shirts, double-breasted blazers, billowy viscose silk blouses, and tantalisting textures, silhouettes, and fabrics.
